The Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum in Paola, Malta, is a unique, prehistoric underground burial site and temple complex dating from around 4000–2500 BC, featuring three levels of rock-cut chambers, red ochre paintings, and architectural features mimicking above-ground temples. Discovered in 1902, it's a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its intricate design, including the "Holy of Holies" and the "Oracle Room," and is famous for the "Sleeping Lady" figurine.
