Neptunium-237 (²³⁷Np) is the most stable and longest-lived isotope of the element neptunium, with a half-life of approximately 2.14 million years. It is primarily produced as a byproduct of nuclear reactors and is a key material in neutron detection and specialized power generation.

The Jersey Devil is a legendary cryptid that is said to inhabit the New Jersey Pine Barrens. According to local folklore, the creature is a grotesque, winged hybrid featuring a horse's head, glowing red eyes, bat-like wings, and cloven hooves. Designated in 1938 as the country's only official state demon, it continues to be the subject of regional fascination.

The most widely told origin story dates back to 1735. A resident of the Pine Barrens known as "Mother Leeds" was distraught upon discovering she was pregnant with her thirteenth child. In a moment of frustration, she cursed the unborn baby, exclaiming, "Let it be the devil!"
