Artemis of Ephesus was an Anatolian mother goddess and patron deity of the ancient city of Ephesus (located in modern-day Turkey). Unlike the Greek huntress Artemis, the Ephesian goddess symbolized fertility, cosmic order, and the sacred feminine, famously depicted in statuary with bulbous breast-like structures and heavily adorned with wild animals.
